I need some ideas on what I can organize in my high school to spread to word about taking care of our planet. I am in my school’s WE club, the Al Gore organization on climate change.
Some taken ideas were:
-baking sale selling cookies bearing the WE logo
-Green Day, where people where green to raise awareness of climate change

I’m from a dry desert climate and have now moved to a very, very humid climate with temps in the 80s-90s. I live on the second floor of a house and have found the heat absolutely unbearable. No air conditioning in the house. Any advice on cooling this place down so that I can sleep? Specifically, what should I do to make the humidity bearable?

I am writing about climate change keeping Albert Camus’ “The Plague” in mind. How would Camus react to this modern crisis? Any other thoughts? This is a strange pairing, but very relevent if you think about the issues “The Plague” deals with.

A possible solution to climate change would be to start rationing the things we consume, either in terms of restricting the number of certain goods we could consume or in giving us a personal carbon allowance which we could exchange for things like flights or electricity. Would you accept this to save the world?

I know most people usually just talk about an INDIVIDUAL can help with the pressing issue of climate change. Believe me, that is important as well, but I have more than enough ideas on that part.

i.e If the sea levels rise any further, the US state of Florida will disappear.
and
A third of the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge marshland on Chesapeake Bay, United States, has disappeared since 1938 and the rest of the marsh, which provides winter habitat for many waterfowl species, is expected to be flooded within 25 years.
stuff like that… any suggestions?
also, i dont want to stick just to the US, bring a more global feel to it?
