A possible solution to climate change would be to start rationing the things we consume, either in terms of restricting the number of certain goods we could consume or in giving us a personal carbon allowance which we could exchange for things like flights or electricity. Would you accept this to save the world?

Let’s say that I agree and climate change is caused by man. Do you honestly believe that this will be enough to stop it? We will still be producing tons of CO2 as well as all industrialized countries around the world. If I agreed with you, I would think that the fight is pretty much useless, and that the world is just doomed.
