What Kind Of Events/activities Can Be Done In High School To Raise Community Awareness Of Climate Change?

I need some ideas on what I can organize in my high school to spread to word about taking care of our planet. I am in my school’s WE club, the Al Gore organization on climate change.
Some taken ideas were:
-baking sale selling cookies bearing the WE logo
-Green Day, where people where green to raise awareness of climate change

In A Humid Climate,what Kind Of Wood Floors Are Recommended For On Top Of A Concrete Foundation?

We live in the Houston area and it’s pretty humid here. We’ve gooten conflicting recommendations on real wood versus engineered wood for this climate. Any other experiences would be helpful. This is new construction. Our preference is real wood. What are the negatives?
